Participating in a Range of Activities As a Young Person Is A Key Ingredient To Success as an Adult: A Case Study

A key ingredient for adult success in children, whether they are neurotypical, have ADHD, ASD, or any other condition, is exposure to a wide range of activities during their child and teen years. It is critical that children and teen have the chance to find out what they enjoy doing and what they are good at as they grow up. To learn more about this developmental process, I talked to my friend Ben Healy, who is a talented musician and a director at the Brooklyn Music Factor in Brooklyn, New York. Despite his significant success in the field of music, he didn’t know what he wanted to focus his career on until well after high school. But he had been exposed to lots of different experiences growing up, and this eventually lead to him to work he is doing today. Read more here.
